Sociology.Run is a running group formed by graduate students, staff, and faculty from the Department of Sociology at Texas A&M University.
The group started in 2018, bringing sociologists together outside the classroom and office for informal group runs. We typically ran at Wolf Pen Creek Park in College Station and, on especially hot days, moved our runs indoors to the Texas A&M Rec Sports.
Our runs stopped during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the group remained inactive afterward.
Sociology.Run is starting again in Fall 2026.
The idea remains the same: graduate students, staff, and faculty getting together to run, socialize, and build community beyond the department, at whatever pace works for them.
All running levels are welcome.

Where we run
We usually meet at the parking lot at the corner of Dartmouth Street and Colgate Drive, marked in red on the map. Parking is free.
Our route through Wolf Pan Creek Park is approximately 1.55 miles per loop. We decide how many loops to run each day.
